Postdoctoral position in gravitational wave physics at UIB, Spain

The gravity group at the Balearic Islands University (UIB) is seeking applications for a postdoctoral position in the areas of gravitational wave physics and astrophysics, including data analysis, modeling of gravitational-wave sources, numerical relativity, and related astrophysical topics.

Our group is a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, the GEO600 project, and the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), and consists of faculty members Carles Bona, Jaume Carot, Sascha Husa, Joan Masso, Carlos Palenzuela and Alicia Sintes, as well as several graduate students. The position is funded by MIMECO grant FPA2013-41042-P (Data analysis of gravitational waves and source simulations for the advanced detector era) to Alicia Sintes and Sascha Husa.

The position is available in 2015 with negotiable starting date. Initial appointment is for 1 year, with renewal for a second year expected, depending on satisfactory progress.
