Phenomenology of Strong Gravity
Workshop in Astana, Kazakhstan, 14-16 September, 2016

We are pleased to announce the international workshop “Phenomenology of Strong Gravity” that will be held on September 14-16 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The workshop is devoted to various aspects of gravity and it aims at bringing researchers working in relativistic astrophysics, general relativity, and quantum gravity to Kazakhstan to foster collaboration and interaction between scientists in the region with renowned scientists around the world. The workshop is organized by the Physics Department of Nazarbayev University with the support of the Julian Schwinger Foundation. Students and young researchers from Kazakhstan and neighboring countries with interests in astrophysics and theoretical physics are especially welcome to attend.

The workshop will be held at Nazarbayev University. Founded in 2010, the University is rapidly emerging as one of the leading universities in Central Asia providing a western style education and developing cutting-edge research in many fields of science and technology.

The deadline for registration and abstract submission is August 31st. Registration is free and limited funds are available to support participation of junior researchers.
