Universidad San Sebastian (USS, Chile) invites women to express their interest in joining its research staff and to participate in the PhD Program in Theoretical Physics, https://investigacion.uss.cl/en/programa/doctorate-in-theoretical-physics/. This doctoral program, with its administrative head in Valdivia and its branch in Santiago, is structured through an academic alliance with the Centro de Estudios Cientificos (CECs).
This invitation seeks to strengthen the research and training activities of the doctoral program by incorporating researchers with an active track record in theoretical gravitation and high-energy physics. In particular, the following qualifications will be especially considered:
a) A scientific career that would allow the researcher to secure grants and lead research projects as principal investigator.
b) The ability to train graduate students supervising or co-supervising master and doctoral theses.
c) Capacity to collaborate in local and international research teams, and to teach graduate and undergraduate physics courses.
Interested applicants should submit a brief letter of motivation, an updated curriculum vitae including the names and e-mail addresses of three references, a description of their main research lines and experience in graduate student training, if applicable, and a copy of the doctoral diploma or degree certificate.
