The Center for Advanced Studies in Cosmology (CEAC), hosted at the Brazilian Center for Physics Research (CBPF), proposes the organization of an International Conference on Cosmology to be held in September 2026, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The event will address fundamental problems and recent advances in theoretical and observational cosmology, with emphasis on gravitation, quantum field theory in curved spacetimes and the physics of the early and late Universe.
The conference will provide a high-level scientific forum for the exchange of ideas between internationally recognized researchers and the Brazilian scientific community, including graduate students and early-career scientists based in Rio de Janeiro.

Topics : Fundamental aspects of the Theory of General Relativity, Nonlinear Electrodynamics and its cosmological consequences, Quantum Field Theory in Curved Spacetime, Propagation of field discontinuities and causal structures, Possible cosmic dependence of fundamental interactions, CP violation in cosmological contexts, Structure formation and large-scale evolution of the Universe, Astrophysical and cosmological tests of General Relativity, Tensions in cosmology
Next generation of cosmological surveys (Rubin LSST, Roman, Simons Observatory), Gravitational Waves as cosmological probes, The transient Universe.

The scientific program will be supervised by the Scientific Committee composed of internationally recognized experts: This committee will be responsible for defining the conference scope, selecting invited speakers, and evaluating contributed presentations. The primary objective of the conference is to stimulate discussion on foundational and emerging topics in cosmology, strengthening the interaction between different theoretical frameworks and observational results.
