The Astrophysical Relativity division at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in Potsdam, Germany, anticipates the filling of one postdoctoral position within the “numerical-relativity” group. The numerical-relativity group is primarily but not exclusively concerned with the numerical solution of the Einstein equations and with the modelling of compact objects, such as neutron stars and black holes. The successful candidate is expected to have experience in the modelling of neutron stars and black holes, relativistic hydrodynamics and MHD.
