The appointment is for a maximum of two years with a starting date of 1 January 2017. The focus of the gravitational wave group at Rhodes University is numerical relativity applied to binary black hole systems. We are interested to expand this focus, so we will also be happy to consider applicants from associated areas of gravitational wave astronomy. The group currently comprises two faculty members, one postdoc and research students. The faculty members involved in gravitational wave research are Nigel Bishop and Denis Pollney.
