Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Department of Physics at the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao (Spain). The appointment will have a duration of 2 years. The beginning of the position is flexible, but it should be somewhere between February and September 2024.
This position is attached to the Project ”Gravitation and Physics of the Cosmos” (PID2021-123226NB-I00), which is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science. The members of this project are David Brizuela, Inaki Garay, Ruth Lazkoz, Jose’ M M Senovilla, and Raul Vera, as well as several postdocs and graduate students.
Our lines of research cover all mathematical and theoretical aspects of gravitation and Lorentzian geometry, astrophysical compact objects, canonical models of quantum gravity and quantum cosmology, cosmological observational tests, and alternative theories of gravity.
The successful candidate is required to hold a PhD at the starting date of the position, and might have the opportunity to assist with some teaching duties of the department.
