The Sixth Galileo-Xu Guangqi Meeting will be held jointly with the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Division of Gravitation and Relativistic Astrophysics of the Chinese Physical Society in Hengyang, Hunan Province, China, on April 19 to 24, 2024.
The Annual Meeting of the Division of Gravitation and Relativistic Astrophysics of the Chinese Physical Society is the most important gravity-related conference in China. The Galileo-Xu Guangqi Meeting initiated by ICRANet is dedicated to commemorating its contributions to astronomy and dissemination of knowledge between East and West. These two meetings will be joined together and be hosted jointly by University of South China, Hunan Normal University, Lanzhou University, the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Hunan University of Arts and Sciences, and Purple Mountain Observatory of CAS, during April 19, 2024 – April 24, 2024. The conference will provide a platform for researchers to communicate their new discoveries and latest progresses in the fields of gravitation and relativistic astrophysics. The contents will cover but are not limited to classical and quantum gravity theories, gravity experiments, black hole physics, gravitational waves, nuclear astrophysics, dark matter and dark energy, multi-messenger astronomy, and cosmology, and other cutting-edge scientific problems.
