The South African Gravity Society (SAGS) conference will be hosted by Stellenbosch University on 18 – 22 August 2024. This will be an in-person event.
We welcome contributions representing research in theoretical, computational, mathematical, observational or experimental aspects of general relativity and gravitation. The scope includes cosmology and astrophysics. Postgraduate students are encouraged to attend and present their work.
The Department of Physics and the Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Group look forward to welcoming you to the picturesque town of Stellenbosch, located in the heart of the South African winelands. Stellenbosch is easily accessible for visitors with Cape Town International Airport 40 km away. Delegates are requested to arrange their own accommodation.
The registration fee is ZAR 5 000. This can be paid directly, or by requesting an invoice from Stellenbosch University. Limited financial support is available for postgraduate students. Please indicate if you wish to apply for support during your registration. Letters of motivation should be emailed to the organising committee upon registration.
