II International scientific conference “Space. Time. Civilization. STC-2024”, November 2nd-7th, 2024
In 2024 Bauman Moscow State Technical University together with BITS-Pilani University will organize the II International scientific conference “Space. Time. Civilization. STC-2024”, to be held in three countries simultaneously: India, Egypt and Russia from November 2nd to 7th, 2024.
The STS-2023 conference was held in Egypt and was a great success. You can find the information about it on https://stc2023.com/. The chairman of the STC-2023 scientific committee was the well-known theoretical physicist, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexey Aleksandrovich Starobinsky.
The STC-2024 conference is dedicated to the memory of A.A. Starobinsky.
The conference will focus on the theory and experiment in the field of gravitation, the study of the properties of astrophysical objects and large-scale structures of the Universe, and the relationship between the development of natural sciences and sustainable Civilization development. The STC-2024 Conference is a logical extension the Physical Interpretations of Relativity Theory (PIRT) international scientific conference (https://pirt.bmstu.ru/en/).
Three concurrent sections are planned for the conference:
* Space and Time.
* Civilization Issues.
* The Origins of Civilization.
The conference will be held from November 2nd to 7th, 2024, simultaneously in-person and online at three venues:
* Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow, Russia
* Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India
* Cairo, Egypt
It will be possible to take part in the conference either in person or remotely via Zoom. The working language of the conference is English.
Space and Time Physics and Mathematics panel programme will focus on recent advances in gravitational theory, cosmology and astrophysics. It includes:
* Space-time models in contemporary physics
* Gravity, cosmology and large-scale structures
* Gravitational waves
* High-energy astrophysics
* Problems of classical and quantum field theory
* Theoretical astrophysics, dark matter and dark energy
* Foundations of mathematics and fundamental physics
Civilization Issues Panel programme will focus to discussing issues related to the future of the Universe, the future of the Earth and our civilization. It includes:
* Evolution of large-scale structures and the future of the Universe
* The future of the Earth: alarms and forecasts
* On the way to a sustainable civilization
The Origins of Civilization Panel programme will focus on research into the traces and heritage of ancient civilizations. It includes:
* Pre-dynastic artefacts in Egypt
* Centres of ancient civilizations in Asia and the Americas
* State-of-the-art methods of artefact dating
* Myths and legends as a source of historical information
