The Nikhef Partnership, which consists of the Nikhef Institute in Amsterdam together with partner universities, is expanding its team working on the Einstein Telescope (ET), and invites applications for several PhD positions and several postdoc positions. These positions cover ET instrumentation, simulation, and data analysis development. For data analysis applicants, a background in Machine Learning is desirable. The positions will be hosted at Amsterdam, Maastricht, and Utrecht, depending on the type of activity.

Applicants for the PhD and postdoc positions should respectively have completed a Master or PhD degree in physics or a related field, or in computer science. PhD students will receive a 4-year contract, and postdoc contracts are typically for 2 years. The renumeration is competitive, and the conditions of employment are excellent, as set out in a Collective Labor Agreement.
