Location:  Florence, Italy

A four-week workshop bringing together cosmologists to address the field’s key tensions, observational challenges, and theoretical advances, from cosmic tensions to dark energy, dark matter, and inflation. The first week will feature lectures and tutorials for students and early-career researchers. Registration is open until 28 February 2026.

Main topics:
– Cosmic distance ladder, supernova cosmology, and the Hubble tension
– Measurements of the S8 parameter and related tensions
– CMB measurements and next-generation surveys
– Hints for dynamical dark energy
– Dark matter, dark energy, and inflation
– Numerical tools, Bayesian analysis, and model comparison

Program overview:
Week 1 (6-12 July): Training Week – introductory lectures and hands-on tutorials for students and early-career researchers
Week 2 (13-19 July): Workshop on Observations and Systematics – exploring current tensions and the role of systematics
Week 3 (20-26 July): Conference Week – new frontiers and emerging directions in cosmology, astrophysics, and astroparticle physics
Week 4 (27-31 July): Workshop on Models and Methods – LCDM extensions, theoretical alternatives and novel methodologies
