The quantum gravity team at the Centre de Physique Theorique in Marseille invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position starting in Fall 2026. The candidates must have completed their PhD before the starting date. The group consists of four permanent members (Alejandro Perez, Pietro Dona’, Simone Speziale, and Carlo Rovelli) and currently includes four PhD students and one PostDoc.
Successful candidates are expected to collaborate (but not exclusively) with members of the team, engage with PhD students, and contribute to the organization of the group’s activities. The team focuses on research in loop quantum gravity, quantum information aspects of quantum gravity, black hole physics, gravitational waves and asymptotic symmetries in general relativity. Salary will follow the French academic pay scale for postdocs. The position comes with a small travel budget, and no teaching.
