We are hiring an Assistant (or Associate) Teaching Professor Position in physics. This is primarily a teaching position, although teaching professors can also advise graduate student projects and carry out research. The position carries a 9-month contract, leaving extra time for (grant-funded) research activities if desired. The position is part of our Faculty Federation Union, so there are good job security protections in place.
UMassD is also part of the recently established UMass-URI Gravity Research Consortium (https://gravity.phy.umassd.edu/) that includes 12 researchers at URI and UMass Dartmouth, and 18 PhD students. At UMassD our group includes Sarah Caudill, Scott Field, Bob Fisher, Gaurav Khanna (URI/UMassD), and Vijay Varma.
