We are inviting expressions of interest from highly motivated and excellent candidates to apply for a PhD position. The selected candidate will join the GRACUS (Gravitation, Cosmology and Astrophysics at the University of Salamanca) group, under the supervision of Ivan De Martino.
The PhD thesis will address cutting-edge topics in modern astrophysics and cosmology. The research will focus on Black Holes, Gravitation (including General Relativity and Modified Gravity theories), and Dark Matter.
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
– Academic Degree: Hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physics or Astrophysics, accumulating a total of at least 300 ECTS credits.
– Academic Record (GPA): An excellent academic transcript is essential. (Note: It is highly preferred that the average grade, once converted to the Spanish scale (0-10), is above 8.0).
While not strictly mandatory, the following will be positively evaluated to maximize the chances of success in the competitive calls:
– Previous scientific publications.
– Participation in conferences or workshops.
– Language Certification: English or Spanish certificate (minimum level B2).
