Date:  2026-05-18  -  2026-05-20

Location:  Mexico City, Mexico

Workshop Focus
This workshop aims to bring together theorists working on non-Riemannian extensions of General Relativity, particularly those working on models that incorporate spacetime torsion, and experimentalists with the capabilities to probe spin-dependent interactions. These two communities do not usually interact, and as a result gravitational effects that are sensitive to spin have remained largely untested.
The program will feature in-person talks on recent developments and future prospects, with ample time for discussion.

Organization
This workshop is jointly organized by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Indiana University Center for Spacetime Symmetries (IUCSS) through the Indiana University Gateway at UNAM.

Topics
Torsion-related phenomenology
Experimental searches for spin-dependent interactions
Gravitational theories with torsion and exact solutions
Torsion in quantum field theory, anomalies, and holography
Torsion in supergravity
Condensed-matter systems described using torsion
