We have three fixed-term Lecturer opportunities with research interests in either Applied Mathematics or Statistics to join the dynamic and evolving School of Mathematics and Statistics.
The Gravity and Cosmology group at the University of Canterbury comprises three faculty (Roy Kerr, Chris Stevens and David Wiltshire), one postdoc and around 15 postgraduate students. Our research topics are mainly based on the interests of Chris Stevens and David Wiltshire. Broadly they include cosmology, mathematical and numerical relativity, black holes, gravitational waves, quasilocal energy, and the global structure of space-time.
Applicants are encouraged to apply with interests in any of these areas, mainly working with Chris Stevens who is the faculty member within the School of Mathematics and Statistics where the applicant will be situated. Collaborative opportunities within the wider group are possible.
