The Center for the Cross-disciplinary Research of Space Science and Quantum-technologies (CROSS-Q), College of Physics, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, is accepting applications for Master/PhD positions from international students for the forthcoming autumn semester (September). Faculty members on the gravity side of CROSS-Q include Prof. Ya-Peng Hu, Prof. Yen Chin Ong, and Associate Professor Yu-Sen An.

International students who are interested in pursuing research in theoretical physics in the following fields:

[1] General relativity and gravitation (black holes, theories of gravity, gravitational waves etc.)
[2] Astrophysics and cosmology,
[3] Aspects of quantum gravity,
[4] Tests of fundamental physics using space-based experiments,
[5] Interactions between gravity and quantum states,

are encouraged to apply. Please send a CV with a cover letter, and arrange for two recommendation letters to be sent separately to crossq[AT]nuaa.edu.cn by May 15th, 2026 for considerations. Only successful candidates will be contacted (latest by the end of May) for online interview. A formal application via the university website has to be carried out by June 15th, 2026, if the candidate passes the interview.

IELTS (6.0 or above), TOEFL (70 or above) or equivalent English proficiency proof is required.
