You will carry out research related to the mathematical underpinning of the theory of quantized fields, including field theories on curved backgrounds. A background in one or more areas of theoretical physics/mathematics related to this topic such as elementary particle theory, conformal field theory, perturbative/constructive approaches to quantum field theory, or string theory is desirable.
