The objective of this workshop is to present and discuss the cutting edge problems of the physics of compact objects, ranging from fundamental problems related to the formalism of General Relativity and Nuclear Physics Equation of State Theory to the present observational data available that should be contrasted to the theoretical predictions. It is also worth mentioning the inclusion of 4h hands-on lectures on computing tools to generate simulations of different scenarios.
This short school is aimed essentially to early graduate students from Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador, however applications of students from others countries of Latin American (or South America) are welcome. Particular effort will be made in Peru and Bolivia, in order to promote the integration of the Regional Andean Node for Astronomy.
