The Department of Physics and the Theoretical Astrophysics Program at the University of Arizona invite applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in the area of theoretical general relativity or relativistic astrophysics. Particular areas of interest are gravitational-wave astrophysics, pulsar and black hole magnetospheres, and the motion of bodies in general relativity and alternative theories. Applications from those with related or complimentary interests are encouraged, and candidates specializing in both analytical and numerical techniques will be considered. The successful candidate will be a member of the physics department as well as the Theoretical Astrophysics Program, a partnership between the departments of physics, astronomy, and planetary sciences that supports a colloquium series, small grants, and regular interaction events.
