The Italian nuclear physics institute (INFN) at the University of Parma invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position starting in 2017 with a focus on numerical relativity and compact binaries.
The position is funded by the project “High Performance network: Convergenza di metodologie e integrazione di infrastrutture per il calcolo di High Performance e High Throughput” of the Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning (Comitato Interministeriale per la Programmazione Economica, CIPE). The annual gross salary is euro 29.471,88, with an extra contribution of 5.000,00 per year (pre-tax) for nonresident in the working region. Other INFN benefits include lunch tickets for working days.
The successful applicant will work closely with Dr. Sebastiano Bernuzzi on the broad theme “Modeling compact binaries and gravitational waveforms with numerical relativity”.
