Sixth Bego Rencontre: IRAP Ph.D. school
August 19th-25th, 2017
Villa Ratti, Nice

The school is traditionally devoted to frontier topics in relativistic astrophysics and to the students of the IRAP PhD Program. This meeting is dedicated to gravitational waves in the strong field limit.

The meeting is open to all interested scientists and graduate students.

The school will take place at the ICRANet Seat in Villa Ratti, in Nice, where the IRAP-PhD is based. We recall that the IRAP-PhD is coordinated by ICRANet, involving various universities and research centres, and the diploma are jointly delivered by all the universities participating in the program: University of Bremen (Germany), University of Ferrara (Italy), University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (France), University of Oldenburg (Germany), University of Rome “La Sapienza” (Italy), University of Savoie (France).

This time the school will include a short course by A. Shadi Tahvildar-Zadeh on “General-Relativistic Quantum Mechanics” with participation of ICRANet, IRAP, Rutgers Math Dept.

The program:
Mon. 20/08 Singularity Theories of Matter
Tues. 21/08 Electrodynamics Without Divergences
Wed. 22/08 General-Relativistic Hydrogen
Thur. 23/08 Ring-Like Particles and the True Ground State of Positronium
Fri. 24/08 Photons as Particles

Lectures are given in the morning. Seminar talks and discussion will be organized in the afternoon.
