The Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science at Tuebingen University invites applications for the position of

Professor (W3) of Mathematical Methods in the Natural Sciences
The position is due to commence on April 1, 2019.

The successful candidate pursues an internationally high-profile research agenda in the field of mathematical physics, which enables collaboration, for example, with the existing groups of mathematical quantum theory and statistical physics, as well as with colleagues from other areas of mathematics. He/She will be jointly responsible for the international master program “Mathematical Physics” and should be able to offer excellent teaching on a broad variety of topics in mathematical physics. The willingness to acquire research grants, also in collaborations, and to contribute to the teaching for the bachelor and master programs in “Mathematics” are expected.

Formal requirements for appointment are the Habilitation or equivalent postdoctoral qualification, as well as proven teaching aptitude.
