Applications are invited for a two-year postdoctoral position in the Theoretical Physics Group of the Department of Physics at Imperial College London, starting 1st October 2021. The research will be led by Dr. Yasaman K. Yazdi on Everpresent Lambda, a fluctuating dark energy model in the causal set theory approach to quantum gravity. Applicants with a strong background in any of the following are encouraged to apply: causal set theory, general relativity, constraining models of dark energy and modified gravity using cosmological observations, and computational physics. Please highlight your relevant experience and expertise in your research statement.
Applicants should hold a PhD by the start date of the position. The position is funded by a Leverhulme Trust Grant. The salary will be within the range 40,858 – 48,340 GBP per year and will also include an additional travel fund.
