Applications are invited for one postdoctoral positions in the field of numerical relativity and computational relativistic astrophysics with focus on neutron star mergers.

The position is associated with the research group of Prof. Sebastiano Bernuzzi at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, Friedrich-Schiller-Universitaet Jena. The position is funded by the European Research Council consolidator grant 101043372 “InspiReM” of the Horizon programme. The selected researcher is expected to work on simulations of binary neutron star mergers in general relativity including high-performance computing, magnetohydrodynamics, microphysics, nuclear physics aspects, radiation transport, and ab-initio modeling of astrophysical observables. Candidates with demonstrated expertise in these areas are particularly encouraged to apply.
