We are excited to announce the launch of the COST Action on Relativistic Quantum Information (RQI) that will last until September 2028. The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) is an EU-funded program that assists the formation of interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond.
The RQI Action seeks to understand the relationship between Quantum Information Science (QIS) and the other major paradigm of modern physics, namely, the theory of relativity. Its aim is twofold. On one hand, it will apply quantum information concepts to major problems of relativistic physics, as they appear in diverse research fields. On the other, it aims to incorporate the fundamental principles of relativistic theories into the foundations of QIS, in order to create novel opportunities for both fundamental physics and technology.
RQI will create a strong network that will bring together researchers from different disciplines, including quantum information science and technology, high-energy physics, quantum foundations, quantum gravity, mathematical physics, quantum optics, and space science. For further information, visit the COST webpage of the Action, where you may also apply for participation in the Actions’ activities.
