Cosmic Flows 2025 continues a two-decade tradition of international gatherings dedicated to the study of cosmic flows. Following successful events in Queensland (2012), Marseille (2013), Quy Nhon (2016), and Cape Town (2020), this conference arrives at a pivotal moment in the field of peculiar velocity research.
In the five years since our last meeting, we’ve witnessed a paradigm shift in peculiar velocity studies. What began as the analysis of a few thousand velocities has evolved into preparation for surveys of unprecedented scale. With SDSS and CF4 data published, WALLABY’s initial findings released, DESI poised to unveil groundbreaking data, and the 4HS main survey underway, Cosmic Flows 2025 provides a timely platform to discuss these exciting developments.
