Dear colleagues,

We are excited to announce the conference “Tales of Gravity”, to be held in Nottingham on April 7-11, 2025. For more details, to register and submit an abstract for a contributed talk, please follow the link provided.

The conference will cover a range of areas connected to gravity, including fundamental physics, cosmology, relativistic astro, data and modelling, mathematics and experiment. The first two days of the meeting will be run in conjunction with UK Cosmology, which will partially cover expenses for UK participants.

The conference will celebrate the recent opening of the Nottingham Centre of Gravity (NCoG), which brings together Nottingham’s expertise in all aspects of gravitation in the Schools of Mathematical Sciences and Physics and Astronomy. The conference will also run alongside the Cosmic Titans exhibition, an inspiring blend of art and science, featuring commissions from nine artists who have collaborated with members of the NCoG and other UK-based researchers in gravity and quantum physics. Through immersive sculptural installations, film, and photography, these artists capture the excitement, wonder, and poetry of cutting-edge scientific discovery, offering a unique perspective on how these advancements shape our future.

Nottingham is just under two hours by train from London, and served by Birmingham airport (less than an hour) and East Midlands Airport. The city is home to three of the oldest pubs in England, a castle, as well as the mill owned by George Green. You can also visit Isaac Newton’s birthplace, complete with apple trees, in nearby Woolsthorpe Manor.

Best wishes,
The Organising Committee: Miguel Bezares, Stephen Green, Oliver Gould, Antonio Padilla, Laura Sberna, Thomas Sotiriou, David Stefanyszyn, Silke Weinfurtner
