The Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Center for Relativity and Cosmology at Troy University is accepting applications for a master’s in mathematical physics focusing in mathematical relativity, starting August 1, 2026.
Our curriculum includes a study of global Lorentzian geometry, causal structure, singularity theorems, the initial value problem of the Einstein equations, quantum fields in curved spacetimes and Hawking radiation. The program offers research opportunities and funding possibilities.
